Job Description

What is the purpose of this role?

To work for the UK’s largest Water only provider as part of a dynamic team to install internal water meters. safely whilst positively engaging with our Customers.

What makes this role unique?

As an Affinity Water Plumber, you will be working directly alongside a dynamic team of 9 other plumbers. There are two elements to the role:

1) Meter installation. This provides the opportunity to engage with our customers to survey and if possible install a water meter.

2) Stand-By. You will be working within the team of ‘first responders’ to attend any ‘no water’ internal issues for our customers. This element of the role offers the opportunity to delight our customers and help others in restoring their water.

What will this role involve?

Prioritising your own safety and that of the team
Installing a Meter to the required quality
Updating our works management system, Maximo, with the job outcome
Managing and delivering for our customers
Inspections, surveys and information capture
Emergency Call-Out, this operates 24/7 as a vital response to our customers who are without water
Minimise wastage and continually improve processes
Proactive problem solving

This job may require working at height and in all weather conditions.

What are we looking for?

Appropriate Trade qualification, City & Guilds/NVQ equivalent
Good knowledge of Water Regulations
Knowledge of water networks and connections
Ability to manage time and critical works effectively
EUSR Blue Card (water hygiene) but not essential as training will be given
Prepared to work on a rota.
Working on a weekly 24hr Stand-By rota approx once a month
Experience in customer-facing role
Full driving licence
