Faculty of Health and Life Sciences

This new part-time (3 hours a week) post is available immediately on a fixed term basis until November 2026.

The post
The Faculty wishes to recruit a Graduate Research Assistant to support the work of Dr Gemma Sharp. This MRC funded post is available immediately for a duration of two years until November 2026. The successful applicant will support research activities on the MenstruLife project.

The post will include serving as an Information Specialist on a James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership around Problematic Menstrual Bleeding. The post holder will also be responsible for setting up meetings between collaborators and stakeholders on the MenstruLife project. They will circulate the agenda and record minutes for these meetings. They will process expense claims and purchases related to the grant.

About you
The successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.

Applicants will be educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study or equivalent experience and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes. Applicants will be able to demonstrate their aptitude for research and their excellent organisational skills.
