Social Media Coordinator: Job Description and Responsibilities
Definition/Summary of the Position:
The Social Media Coordinator has the primary responsibility for the planning, development, and implementation of the social media communications of the Church and has direct oversight of the social media accounts and photo assets of the church. Key Functions include strategic development, system implementation and ongoing management.
Overview of Duties/Responsibilities:
● Organise and process photos from the Creative Team and maintain a well-organised system of photos.
● Social media management for Elim Tamil Ministries. This includes creating an overall plan for weekly services, seasons and events of Elim Tamil Ministries. As well developing a creative visual approach as well as developing the written content and language that represents the mission, vision and values of Elim Tamil Ministries.
● Coordinate with our design team to create the visual elements for each campaign/post that best reflects the visual expression of the church
● Coordinate with the Lead Pastor on his weekly/regular posts from his personal account.
● Work closely with the Creative Team on Sundays to capture weekly activities and create posts to reflect sermon/service themes and highlights.
Focused Areas of Responsibilities:
General Communications
● Work to create a cohesive plan for events and weekly communications that provide clear messages using social media to commutator the mission, vision and values of Elim Tamil Ministries.
Social Media
● Develop an ongoing social media calendar.
● Develop various “types of posts’ and a plan to execute those.
● Work closely with the Graphic Design Team to create supporting images to be paired with the copy for each post.
● Engage with existing and new social media platforms to maximize use on each one.
● Develop best practices for growth and development.
Necessary Knowledge/Skills:
Strong planning skills with a marketing/communications emphasis. Leadership abilities with demonstrated oral and written communication capability. Must interface with all levels of the Church membership and staff.
Basic Qualifications:
Basic understanding of Marketing/Advertising/Communications and how this is expressed through social media and must be an active Church member.

● Represent the Church in accordance with the vision set forth by the Lead Pastor
● Any communication whether personal or professional is representing the church and must be done in a way that aligns with the churches beliefs and represents the church well.
● Represent a growing personal relationship with Christ
● Participate in a small group on a regular basis
● Set appropriate boundaries in life and ministry to protect his or her character and integrity
● Faithfully give to the ministry of Elim Tamil Church with 10% of your gross income
● Look for opportunities to reach those who are far from God
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £36,200.00-£38,800.00 per year
