Fostering is just as much a rewarding career as it is a life choice and our generous financial allowances ensure you are supported to provide care for a local child, or several children, whether that be on a short or long-term basis.
At Foster for Peterborough, (a not-for-profit fostering local authority service) we offer many types of fostering to suit your lifestyle. Tailored on-going training provided, including a highly experienced fostering mentor, and a 24-hr support and advice line.
We welcome enquiries from anyone who is dedicated to changing a young life for the better.
This is an opportunity for you to be part of a dynamic Fostering team who support children and young people from the first point of contact, all the way through to adulthood. This role is based within the Peterborough area, with full support from the experienced Fostering Services team who are based at Sand Martin House, Peterborough.
We believe in giving young people and their families choice, control, and flexibility in how they manage their support needs, and the right to access inclusive services and be a part of their own community. Our approach is based on seeking the views, wishes and feelings of the children and young people we work with.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a lively and dynamic team which acts as the first point of contact for local children who require the support of a loving Fostering family in the Peterborough area. We work very closely with our partner agencies to support children with disabilities and their families.
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Foster Carers who are highly motivated and who would embrace supporting local foster children and their families.
The role offers excellent training opportunities, including a highly experienced Foster Carer Mentor, 24 advice and support line, a chance to play a real part in the creation of a very rewarding and dedicated service, and a weekly paid allowance.
We recognise the importance of transferable skills, and we provide a detailed and focused induction, so there is no requirement to have previous fostering experience.
