Job Description
Experienced engineer required for various projects in the Manchester area. Must be strong personality, capable, organised and reliable. Sub-Contract/Project.
- Undertaking technical and feasibility studies and site investigations, developing detailed designs.
- Assessing the potential risks of specific projects, as well as undertaking risk management.
- Quality Assurance implementation and monitoring on all Projects.
- Assisting Commercial team with tendering packages and putting together proposals.
- Managing, supervising and visiting contractors on site and advising on civil engineering issues.
- Oversee recording of site progress
- Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues and architects, subcontractors, contracting civil engineers, consultants, co-workers and clients.
- Thinking both creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems.
- Managing budgets and other project resources.
- Managing changes to projects and be responsible for completion and return of signed CVI.
- Leading teams of other engineers, perhaps from other organisations or firms where applicable.
- Compiling, checking and approving reports.
- Responsible for issuing, updating and communicating site programme of works
- Reviewing and approving project drawings.
- Scheduling material and equipment purchases and timely delivery to site.
- Adopting all relevant requirements around issues such as building permits, environmental regulations, sanitary design, good manufacturing practices and safety on all work assignments.
- Ensuring that a project runs smoothly and that the structure is completed on time and within budget.
- Manage site handover, correcting any project deficiencies that affect production, quality and safety requirements before final evaluation and project reviews.
- Production of O&M Manual
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £72,000.00 per year
